MANILA, Philippines — The National Capital Region Police Office announced Monday that it has deployed 908 new police recruits to the five police districts in Metro Manila.
The new policemen will undergo a five-month field training starting Aug. 18 until Dec. 22.
The 120 police rookies went to the Northern Police District, 176 to Eastern Police District, 184 to Manila Police District, 188 to Southern Police District and 240 to Quezon City Police District.
They will be trained on various police functions such as traffic, investigation and patrol.
The NCRPO said the training serves as a requisite for the police rookies to acquire their permanent status of employment in the Philippine National Police.
It is also among the basic requirements for police officers to be oriented in policing based on actual situations and security demands of the public, the NCRPO added.
