MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude-5.4 earthquake rattled parts of Mindanao Sunday night.
State seismologists said there were no reports of damage or injuries.
The quake occurred at around 9:33 p.m. with its epicenter located some 199 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso town in Davao Oriental.
The tremor was felt at Intensity 4 in Talacogon, Agusan del Sur; Intensity 3 in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur and Davao City; Intensity 2 in General Santos City and Intensity 1 in Bislig City.
Phivolcs warned residents in the area against possible aftershocks.
Meanwhile, Phivolcs said a magnitude-3.4 quake was recorded some 10 kilometers northwest of Mahaplag, Leyte also last Sunday.
The tremor occurred at around 10:03 p.m. and was felt at Intensity 2 in Mahaplag.
Phivolcs said earthquakes with magnitudes five to six are moderate and may cause minor damage to structures near the epicenter.
