"Thanks to these patriotic people, we were able to arrest the culprits," Buenacosa said.
The owner of the warehouse, Danny Ang, will file charges against the suspects, according to Buenacosa.
He said all of the 48 bags of rice stolen from Ang’s warehouse had been accounted for.
Buenacosa said only five of the seven suspects, Alfred Paraiso, Alex Dela Cruz, Rhoderick Gargar, Luigi Ganny, Darwin Camansa, will be detained at the Tacurong City police detention facility.
The two minors will be turned over to the city social welfare office, he said.
