MANILA, Philippines — Florencia Cornejo sued actor Vhong Navarro's lawyer Alma Mallonga for the same complaint her granddaughter is facing.

Florencia, the grandmother of  Deniece Cornejo, filed a grave coercion complaint against the lawyer on Tuesday at the Taguig Regional Trial Court for allegedly initiating a physical confrontation.

Florencia claimed that Mallonga got mad and pushed her when she saw her wearing a T-shirt saying "Justice for Deniece, Jail the Rapist" during the hearing of the serious illegal detention charges against Deniece.

Deniece, businessman Cedric Lee and martial artist Simeon "Zimmer" Raz Jr. face grave coercion and serious illegal detention charges in connection with their mauling of Navarro on January 22.

Mallonga, meanwhile, has denied that she assaulted Florencia.

She said she only discouraged Florencia from wearing  shirts with controversial statements in court, as suggested by Taguig RTC Branch 271 Judge Paz Esperanza Cortes.

"Walang tulakan, walang yugyugan na nangyari," Mallonga said in an interview with ABS-CBN's Bandila Monday night.
