ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – The magnitude 6.3 earthquake that hit Negros Occidental Thursday also jolted this southern port city shortly after sunset, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology’s local observatory.
City information officer Sheila Covarrubias said Phivolcs reported that the tremor struck at 6:16 p.m. and was felt at Intensity 3 and lasted for five seconds.
