BATANGAS – Twenty-nine people were hospitalized when the bus they were riding landed on its side along the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road tollway in Malvar town this province yesterday afternoon, police said.
The Jam Liner bus (with license plate DXV-571) was traversing the tollway’s southbound lane when it was sideswiped by a DLTB bus (UYC-264), causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle, said Senior Superintendent Omega Jireh Fidel, Batangas police director.
