MANILA, Philippines - Three persons were confirmed killed while 24 others were injured after a passenger bus and a dump truck collided in Quezon province Wednesday night.
Initial reports said that a Jam Liner bus bound for Lucena City, was cruising along Maharlika Highway around 11 p.m. in Tiaong town, when it collided with a dump truck going to Manila.
The dump truck was overtaking five other trucks when it collided with the bus.
The bus turned turtle upon impact with the speeding truck, reports said.
Some of the passengers sustained fractured bones due to the accident, reports said.
The victims were brought to different hospitals in the area.
