Tanauan City gets ISO certificate anew

MANILA, Philippines - The city government of Tanauan has affirmed its commitment to quality management after it was conferred again with an International Standardization Organization (ISO) certificate.

In February, a two-day intensive ISO re-certification audit conducted by the Anglo-Japanese-American (AJA) Registrars, resulted in a zero non-conformity on all of the city’s nine public administration processes initially certified with ISO 9001:2008 in 2011.

These are the issuance of certificates of live birth, death and marriage license; building permit, development permit and location clearance; business permit and license application, appraisal and assessment, and management of local legislation.

“It is truly noteworthy that the city government received not even a single minor non-conformance,” said Mayor Antonio Halili as he lauded the ISO core team headed by city administrator Herminigildo Trinidad Jr.

Halili said the re-certification galvanized the city government’s commitment to provide stakeholders with excellent and world-class services they deserve.

The ISO certificate is a set of standards aimed to enhance customer satisfaction through effective application of quality management system and processes.

Tanauan City is one of the few ISO-certified local government units in the country.
