MANILA, Philippines — A disc jockey in Boracay allegedly doubling as a marijuana dealer was arrested early Wednesday by operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIBO) of the Philippine National Police.

In the drugs buy-bust operation at Barangay Balabog, the agents confiscated dried marijuana or cannabis leaves in one kilo and 260 gram bundles from Mike Collantes, who works in Epic Boracay bar.

Inspector Wilfredo Hofelenia, PIBO chief, said in a radio report that Collantes was arrested while selling marijuana contained in plastic bags to undercover anti-narcotic agents.

Hofelenia said that his team is gearing to conduct more buy-bust operations in the island as more foreigners are expected to arrive over the dry season. - Camille Diola
