P’sinan gets ISO certifications

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan , Philippines   â€“ Pangasinan has added another feather in its cap as it was conferred two certifications for International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008.

The Certification International Philippines Inc., an ISO-accredited certifying body represented by its managing director Renato Navarrete, handed over last Monday the two certifications to the provincial government led by Gov. Amado Espino Jr. and some department heads.

The certifications – one for the administrative and support services departments and the other for the Provincial Health Office – signified that the services being provided by these offices have passed international standards for quality management system.

As an ISO 9001:2008-certified province, Pangasinan now joins an elite club of public and private firms and organizations that are compliant with internationally accepted standards and management systems and procedures.

Espino said, “The best recognition is to know that the people we are serving are very satisfied with the job we are doing.”
