MANILA, Philippines - The low pressure area (LPA) that has entered the country will bring rainshowers in some parts of the Visayas and Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Wednesday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA was located at 845 kilometers east of Mindanao as of 4 a.m.
According to the agency's forecast, the regions of Eastern and Central Visayas and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated light rains.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA said moderate to strong winds from the east to northeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the northeast over the rest of the country.
The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough.
