MANILA, Philippines - Some 20 families were left homeless in two separate fires that hit Pasig City on Friday night and early Saturday.
The first fire started at 11:26 p.m. along Ipil St. in Barangay Kalawaan and razed 10 houses.
Responding firefighters from the Pasig City Fire Station managed to put out the fire at about 12:20 a.m.
Later, at about 2:24 a.m, another fire struck the Villa Antonio Compound in Barangay Bambang and razed five houses.
Responding firefighters put the fire out at 3:20 a.m. Damage caused by the two fires was placed by arson investigators at about P1 million.
Both fires reached the first alarm before these were put out. No one was reported injured in the two fires.
Arson investigators are still determining what caused the two fires.
