LAGUNA, Philippines – Police yesterday filed charges against two suspects in the killing of a police officer and wounding of his daughter in Biñan City last March 1.
Superintendent Rizalito Gapas, Biñan City police chief, said the suspects, Ricky Alano Sison and Mark Jim Gonzales, are still at large.
Laguna Gov. Jeorge Ejercito has put up a P200,000 reward while Biñan City Mayor Marlyn Alonte-Naguiat has offered another P100,000 for information leading to the arrest of Sison and Gonzales.
Quoting witnesses, Gapas said Sison was the one who allegedly shot Senior Inspector Jerry Uy at close range and wounded his daughter, Debbie, 17. Gonzales drove the getaway motorcycle.
Uy was then bringing his daughter to school on a motorcycle.
Gapas said charges of frustrated murder and murder were filed against them before the Biñan City prosecutor’s office.
