MANILA, Philippines - A moderate earthquake shook parts of Ilocos Norte yesterday, but did not cause any damage or injury, state seismologists said.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake, which was registered at magnitude 3.0, struck at 3:51 p.m. and was centered at 28 kilometers northeast of Laoag City.
It was felt at Intensity 3 in Laoag City and Batac, Sarrat, Pasuquin and Paoay towns.
Phivolcs said it was not expecting damage or aftershocks from the quake.
