MANILA, Philippines - An offshore earthquake, measuring magnitude 4.1, rattled parts of Southern Luzon shortly before noon yesterday, state seismologists said.
Renato Solidum, director of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, said the quake occurred at 11:41 a.m. with its epicenter traced at 23 kilometers northeast of Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.
It was felt at Intensity 4 in Gasan, Marinduque; Intensity 3 in Lipa City, Batangas; and Intensity 2 in Batangas City; San Pablo, Laguna; and Lucban, Quezon.
