HAGONOY, Bulacan , Philippines – A police officer was killed while another was wounded when two motorcycle-riding men shot them in Barangay San Agustin in this town yesterday morning.
Police Officer 1 Alexis Francisco of the Hagonoy police station was shot at close range as he was eating at an eatery at about 7:30 a.m., according to Superintendent Rizalino Andaya, town police chief.
Andaya said Francisco’s companion, Police Officer 1 JD Ventura, was wounded in the attack.
Responding policemen pursued but failed to arrest the gunmen.
