Dulag, Leyte , Philippines – The provincial government of Pangasinan wrapped up last Friday its humanitarian mission for survivors of Super Typhoon Yolanda in this province.
Vice Gov. Jose Ferdinand Calimlim, Jr. represented Gov. Amado Espino Jr. in the turnover of repaired classrooms at the Dulag Central School, Dulag SPED Center and Dulag National High School.
Board members Raul Sison, Generoso Tulagan, and Liberato Villegas witnessed the turnover ceremony.
Dulag Mayor Manuel Sia Que thanked Espino and the Pangasinan provincial government for the relief operations, medical mission and gift-giving activities in the villages of Camote, San Isidro, Calubian, Luan, Sungi, Cambula, Catnogan, Comvis, Maricom and Sabang-Dagitan.
The team from Pangasinan also conducted cleanup operations in schools and along the streets, installed street lights at the town plaza and Christmas lights at the Our Lady of Refuge Church.
At least 113 personnel from the offices of the provincial engineer, health, social welfare, general services, information, disaster risk reduction and management council, and the Philippine Army went to Dulag from Dec. 13 to 15 to deliver services to residents.
The team made a final stop in Palo town to deliver boxes of medicine to Mayor Remedios Petilla, who thanked them and the provincial government of Pangasinan for the help.
