MANILA, Philippines - A 71-year-old suspected drug pusher was arrested by anti-narcotics agents of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency during a buy-bust operation in Cebu City, the PDEA said on Thursday.
PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. identified the suspect as Rogelio Flores, of Sitio Camansi, Barangay Lorega, Cebu City.
Initial report said that last Dec. 12, around 2 p.m., elements of the PDEA Regional Office 7 (PDEA RO 7) arrested Flores in Barangay Lorega, Cebu City after a transaction with an undercover agent who acted as poseur-buyer.
During the operation, numerous folded newspapers and bond papers containing dried marijuana leaves were seized from Flores and brought to PDEA 7 Laboratory for forensic analysis.
PDEA will be filing charges against the suspect for violation of Sections 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of R.A. 9165.
