MANILA, Philippines - A barangay kagawad was wounded during a drive-by shooting by three gunmen riding motorcycles in Quezon City Tuesday morning.
Initial report said Pedro Salazar Jr. sustained grazed wounds during the incident at the corner of Dalia and Azucena streets in Brgy. Roxas.
Salazar, a first time barangay kagawad, said the two gunmen rode in tandem on a motorcyle while the other on another motorycle. The gunmen wore helments, he added.
The victim was at the vicinity near their eatery during the shooting, reports said.
Salazar said one of the members of the barangay's peace and security officer was gunned down on the night of Nov. 11. The victim died the following day, he added.
Police have already cordoned off the site where at least 10 empty shells of different calibers have been recovered.
