KORONADAL CITY, Philippines - Officials have relocated some 200 families to safer areas after flashfloods hit several areas in the city and nearby South Cotabato towns.
Local government rescue groups have evacuated dozens of families from flooded low-lying farming communities in Barangay New Iloilo, located at the border of Tantangan town and Koronadal City.
The evacuees are now housed in Tantangan’s municipal gymnasium, according to Mayor Ben Figueroa Jr.
