TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A village chief in Ilagan City, Isabela cheated death after a constituent tried to stab him during a political meeting on Wednesday night, police said.
Those present rushed to the aid of Barangay San Vicente chairman Victor Somera, preventing suspect Cris Gannaban from harming him.
Gannaban refused to say why he attacked Somera.
