MANILA, Philippines - Two persons were killed and eight others were injured when the truck they were riding plunged into a ravine in Maayon, Capiz over the weekend.
Ramon Denoy, 45, a resident of Barangay Balatucan in Panitawn town, and Roel Andrada, 35, of Sunshine Subdivision in Barangay Banica, Roxas City died on the spot.
Albert Gonzales, Edgar Condimo, Jimmy Decara, Johnson Depecto, Jason Gonzales, Kevin Condino, Roger Balsomo and truck driver Andy Amorado were injured.
Police reports said the truck rolled over when Amorado lost control of the wheel while negotiating a blind curve in Barangay Parallan.
The victims were on their way to Roxas City after delivering cement, gravel and sand for an infrastructure project in Maayon town.
