BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – At least 14 people were rescued when their boat, battered by huge waves, sank off Hinatuan Island in Surigso del Norte last Monday morning, a belated police report said.
Passengers of the sunken boat were rescued by crewmen of M/V LQP and brought to Dapa town on Siargao Island and later to Surigao City.
