CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – Six members of a household were shot dead while one was wounded when suspected robbers barged into the victim’s house in the City of San Fernando Friday night.
Benigno “Bong†Villanueva Ingar Jr., 52; Corazon Salas-Edejer, 47; Kenneth Nolan Edejer, 19, and house helpers Teresita Lansangan-Camiling, 40; Nelson Dominico, 17, and a certain Kakay, 27, died from gunshots to the head, according to Senior Superintendent Oscar Albayalde, acting provincial director of the Pampanga police.
House owner Nicolas Edejer, 42, was taken to the Sacred Heart Medical Center in Angeles City for treatment of gunshot wounds.
Albayalde said a concerned citizen reported the incident to the Community Police Action Center (COMPAC4) headed by Senior Inspector Erwin Marzan, who dispatched his men to house number 19 on Molave Street, L & S Subdivision in Barangay Telebastagan.
He said that responding policemen saw the victims on the floor and bloodied.
Initial investigation showed the gunmen shot the victims one by one before taking the vault down from the second floor. The vault was found near the kitchen.
Albayalde said several bullet shells for a caliber .45 pistol were recovered at the crime scene.
Investigators found in a drawer and bag of one of the victims cash money of undermined amount, even as police have yet to finish with the inventory of the victims’ belongings, Albayalde said.
The gunmen fled in a Toyota Hi-Lux owned by the Edejers taking with them the recorder of the closed-circuit television camera installed in the house.
The vehicle was recovered in Concepcion, Tarlac.
Superintendent Ricardo David, city police chief, said aside from robbery, investigators have yet to determine other motives for the killing and identify the suspects.
Albayalde said a Special Investigation Task Group Edejer was formed to solve the crime.
