BINALONAN, Pangasinan, Philippines – The Piper Seneca that crash-landed in a rice field in Laoac town this province the other day experienced “loss of power†in one of its engines, according to its owner.
In a statement, Richard Tanglao of WCC Aviation Co. said the plane with body marking RP-C1034 took off from the Binalonan airfield and when it was about 400 feet in the air, its right-hand engine encountered trouble.
This prompted the pilot to crash-land in a rice field in Barangay D. Alarcio, Laoac town. All four passengers were unhurt.
Tanglao said the incident has been reported to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines for investigation.
