TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A village chief in Cagayan is now facing drug charges following his arrest in a buy-bust operation Thursday night, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said.
Juvenal Azurin, PDEA-Cagayan Valley director, said Boby Jacobe, 38, chairman of Barangay Dalla in Baggao town, was collared by a joint PDEA-police team after allegedly selling shabu to undercover agents.
Also arrested in the buy-bust was Jacobe’s alleged cohort, a certain Edgardo Layaoen, 55.
