MANILA, Philippines - Fire struck Makati and Pasay cities amid the heavy downpour in Metro Manila on Tuesday morning.
Fire struck the Ayala Builders hardware store along EDSA-Magallanes in Makati City at around 9 a.m. The blaze damaged the second and third floors of the store.
Firefighters had a hard time putting out the fire as the blaze began inside a paint storage. They managed to douse the fire, which reached the 3rd alarm, after more than an hour.
Arson investigators suspect that the fire was caused by faultry electrical wiring.
Meanwhile, firemen also managed to put out the blaze which hit a warehouse along F.B. Harrison Street in Pasay City at around 10:19 a.m. The fire also started at around 9 a.m.
