TUGUEGARAO CITY , Philippines – Police have filed murder charges with the Department of Justice against three more supporters of Cagayan Vice Gov.-elect Leonides Fausto for the killing of a driver of losing gubernatorial bet William Mamba last May 13, election day.
Chief Superintendent Rodrigo de Gracia, Cagayan police director, said the three new suspects – Jessie Ventura, Ronnie Telan and Oliver Pillos – join 11 others earlier charged for the beating and fatal shooting of Jomar Littaua, 41, in an eatery.
The other suspects are Zaldy Bangan, Gil Durian, Boyet Genobil, Arthur Advincula, Angel Tubban, Romar Latupan, Nono Lizardo, Joefrey Balocanao, Aldrin Omillo, Audi Cauilan, and Julius Cesar Paestre.
Reports said the killing followed a verbal tussle when Fausto’s supporters allegedly reprimanded Littaua for stalking them in their campaign sorties.
Mamba, a younger brother of Presidential Legislative Liaison Office chief Manuel Mamba, ran but lost to re-electionist Gov. Alvaro Antonio.
