MANILA, Philippines - Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) nabbed a suspected drug pusher and a fish vendor in separate sting operations in Cagayan de Oro City and Sorsogon, the agency reported on Wednesday.
The PDEA identified the suspects as Michael Canete, 27, a watch-listed drug pusher of Brgy. Sabang, Bulan, Sorsogon; and Mary Grace Sevilla, 33, fish vendor, of Sitio Barra, Brgy. Macabalan, Cagayan de Oro City.
Reports showed that on June 21, around 9:30 a.m., authorities conducted a buy-bust operation at Barangay Sabang, Bulan, Sorsogon where Canete agreed to sell a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing dried marijuana leaves in exchange for P500 used as marked money.
Confiscated from the suspect’s possession were a pedicab and four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing dried marijuana leaves.
Canete is now under the custody of the Sorsogon Provincial Public Safety Company.
Meanwhile, anti-narcotics agents nabbed Sevilla in a buy-bust operation at around 12:30 pm, in Sitio Barra, Brgy.Macabalan, Cagayan de Oro City.
Confiscated from Sevilla were 26 rectangular heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets weighing more or less 5 grams of suspected to be shabu.
