MANILA, Philippines - A 52-year-old forest ranger is in hot water after he was arrested in Davao City for selling shabu worth P1.35 million last week.
Undersecretary Arturo Cacdac Jr., director general of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, said Anwar Guialudin Nanding, a forest ranger of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in Midsayap, North Cotabato, is facing charges for conspiracy to sell illegal drugs and possession of illegal drugs.
Cacdac said an additional charge for criminal liability of a government employee was also filed against Nanding.
Cacdac said Nanding, a resident of Cotabato City, was classified as a high-value targeted personality of PDEA in the Davao region.
Nanding, together with two cohorts, Abdullah Masukat, a former city councilor, and Riyaddin Nanding, 19, was arrested after he agreed to meet with the poseur-buyer for the sale of 155 grams of shabu worth P1.35 million.
