MANILA, Philippines - At least 92.15 percent of inmates locked up at facilities run by the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology managed to cast their votes last Monday, a BJMP official said yesterday.
Chief Inspector Xavier Solda, BJMP public information chief, said 25,600 or 92.15 percent of 27,780 BJMP-registered inmates successfully cast their votes on May 13 without any untoward incidents.
“The conduct of the on-site and off-site elections participated in by inmates went smoothly as planned,†Solda said.
