BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya , Philippines – Political allies of a slain candidate for councilor in San Fernando, La Union have put up a P100,000 reward for the arrest of his killer.
Retired Army general Tomas Dumpit Sr., chairman of the National Unity Party in La Union, said they are ready to provide the reward to any informant who could help in the arrest of the gunman of Danilo Nisperos Sr.
Nisperos, 59, who was running for city councilor under Dumpit’s group, was gunned down before his family last Sunday night. – Charlie Lagasca, Raymund Catindig
