Landslides affected at least 23 families in Davao del Sur after continuous rains battered the area over the weekend.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said there were no casualties but affected families from Purok Cadena de Amor, Barangay Coronan in Santa Cruz were brought to the village gymnasium after a landslide occured at aound 4 a.m. last Saturday.
"The incident was triggered by the continuous moderate to heavy rain that had prevailed over the region," NDRRMC noted.
The state agency added that the town's local disaster risk reduction and management council provided relief goods to the victims.
The Office of the Civil Defense in Region 11 has already coordinated with the Mines and Geosciences Bureau to assess the area.
