BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – Another shabu pusher fell in the hands of authorities, as street vendors of the increasingly popular drug used in Baguio continue to make their way into different jails in the city and nearby Benguet.
College drop-out Jeffrey Damian alias “Jepoyâ€, 29, was cornered with three sachets of shabu in a buy-bust operation at Lower Kitma, Bakakeng Central, here.
A cook and bartender, Damian was caught at around 10 p.m. on Feb. 15 selling medium-sized, heat-sealed and transparent plastic sachets weighing exactly .07 grams of shabu for P2,000 to a government agent from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
A violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) was filed Monday against Damian before the Office of the Baguio City Prosecutor.
Damian, PDEA said, is in the “Watch List of Drug Personalities in the Cordillera Regionâ€.
Emily Fama, spokesperson of the PDEA-Cordillera said Damian had been previously charged for grave threats in the city.
PDEA earlier was up on its toes collaring alleged “high value targets†in its drug watchlist.
