DAR turns over P32.6-M infra projects to Quirino

MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has turned over P32.6 million in infrastructure projects to two Quirino towns in Isabela province, an official said yesterday.

DAR Undersecretary Rosalina Bistoyong said the DAR provided farm-to-market roads and a potable water system for farmers and residents of Las Maricar Agrarian Reform Communities in Saguday and Aglipay municipalities.

The projects include the 3.9-kilometer Rizal-La Paz Road, two-kilometer Rizal-Cardenas Road in Saguday and the 1.98-kilometer Ligaya-Dagupan Road in Aglipay.

“These infrastructure projects are significant in achieving progress in rural communities. These facilities were not only implemented to make life easier for our farmers but also to sustain the development of their communities,” Bistoyong said.

DAR regional director Marjorie Alzate said the projects were implemented under the Agrarian Reform Infrastructure Support Projects.
