The Philippine government has lifted its travel ban on Israel and Gaza after the Israeli government agreed on a ceasefire with Hamas.
In a statement, the Philippine's Department of Foreign Affairs said the travel ban is lifted "in view of the improved security conditions in Israel and Gaza as a result of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas."
Last Nov. 23, the DFA issued a travel advisory to Filipinos to defer travel to Gaza and central and southern Israel in view of the Israel-Hamas conflict.
With the lifting of the travel ban, the DFA has also downgraded the
Alert level 2 (Restriction Phase) for central and southern Israel and Alert level 4 (Evacuation/Mandatory Repatriation) for Gaza.
