Look at P’sinan projects objectively, exec urges

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines – A ranking provincial official scored their detractors last Saturday for allegedly blocking through misplaced criticisms the implementation of vital development projects being pursued by the incumbent officials led by Gov. Amado Espino Jr.

Development projects being implemented by the government should be viewed more objectively to fully appreciate their socio-economic impact, provincial administrator Rafael Baraan said.

Addressing campus editors from across Luzon in a workshop here, Baraan said government projects should be viewed on a “bigger picture.“

“Be always open-minded, not one-sided,” Baraan told the students, but apparently referring to the critics and detractors of the provincial government.

Baraan rued that the same group which was supposed to have started implementation of a 300-hectare world-class ecotourism project during their watch is now the same group opposing the project by falsely alleging that it is black sand quarrying.

“But we remain steadfast and we will continue solidifying our gains,” he said.
