CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – At least 30 people were injured after the bus they were riding plunged into a 10-foot ravine along the highway in General Luna, Quezon on Thursday, authorities said.
Police said the injured passengers of RR Bus Lines were brought to the Bondoc Peninsula District Hospital.
Most of the victims sustained bruises, contusions, and bone fractures, police said.
The bus driver, Ricardo Minggay, will reportedly be charged with driving without license and reckless imprudence resulting in multiple serious physical injuries.
Minggay told police he lost control of the wheel, sending the Manila-bound bus plunging into the ravine.
