Gas tanker hijacked in Tarlac

AGUILAR, Pangasinan – A gas tanker was hijacked by unidentified armed men along the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway in Luisita, Tarlac last Friday.

Senior Inspector Valentin Abalos, police chief here, said John Harold Gumangan, 25, truck driver, and a resident of Barangay Narra; and Jonathan Gomez, 27, of Barangay Cabacaraan, both of San Manuel, Pangasinan reported the incident to the police station here.

 Reports said the fuel truck (XJG-644) driven by Gumangan was loaded with 6,000 liters of premium gasoline, 2,000 liters of regular gasoline and 12,000 liters of diesel. It was heading toward San Manuel town when the hijacking occured.

The suspects allegedly pointed their guns at the victims and ordered them to transfer to another vehicle with their eyes blindfolded and hands tied. The victims were dropped unharmed at the Aguilar public cemetery in Barangay Poblacion.
