BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – An anti-narcotics agent allegedly shot dead a suspected drug pusher in San Fernando City, La Union Wednesday afternoon.
Bismarck Bengwayan, spokesperson for the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency- Region 1, said Jojo Mamaril tried to grab the service firearm of Ricky Ramos after the latter identified himself as a PDEA agent.
Ramos’ firearm went off during a scuffle and hit Mamaril.
Bengwayan said PDEA agents have long been tailing Mamaril.
