“We found probable cause against them and Director Ladao concurred with our findings,” Lukban said.

He said they based their recommendation on the pictures and medico-legal certificates submitted by the complainants, PO1s Rommel Derit, 31, and Kristian Tenoso, 26.

Lukban said the seven policemen have been afforded due process. He said the summary dismissal proceedings would take 60 days.

The seven policemen were accused of beating up Derit and Tenoso last Feb. 25, 26 and 28 while undergoing training at the provincial police headquarters at Camp Victor Ravina here.

At the time the alleged beatings were committed, Buenconsejo was director while Soria, Valdez, Dulatre and Ramos were members of the PNP committee that supervised the training of the rookie policemen. Doringo and Querijero were assigned with the Provincial Public Safety Company.
