MANILA, Philippines - A four-month pregnant reporter of a weekly tabloid was killed when the motorcycle she was riding was bumped by a passenger jeepney in Binangonan, Rizal on Monday, police said.
Maria Concepcion Dabban, reporter of the tabloid Hagupit, sustained head and body injuries and died while being rushed to the Angono District Hospital.
Senior Superintendent Rolando Anduyan, Rizal police director, ordered a manhunt for the driver of the passenger jeepney who escaped after the incident.
Dabban was on her way home in Barangay Maybunga, Pasig City after reporting to the Hagupit office in Tanay, Rizal when she met the tragedy.
Witnesses said Dabban was thrown off from her motorcycle and landed on the cement pavement head first.
