MANILA, Philippines - With only two days left to vote, the government, private sector partners, and music artists are now calling on Filipinos all over the world to help make the Puerto Princesa Underground River (PPUR) in Palawan a world wonder.
Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Ramon Paje yesterday appealed to Filipinos from all walks of life to throw their support for the country’s bet for the search for the New Seven Wonders of the World, which will end tomorrow with the grand declaration of winners.
He urged Filipinos worldwide to encourage their relatives and friends to cast their votes as early as possible to avoid the “phenomenal” increase in online traffic that the organizers are expecting before voting ends at 11:11 a.m. on 11/11/11.
Online voting is ongoing on the website www.new7wonders.com while SMS voters need only send “PPUR” to 2861 for all local networks.
