LAOAG CITY, Philippines – Investigators are looking into the possible involvement of a nephew of the mayor of Piddig town in the ambush-slaying of a policeman on Tuesday.
Senior Superintendent Marlou Chan, Ilocos Norte police director, said PO1 Jaymartz Paragoy and the mayor’s nephew identified only as Lester figured in a commotion during a party in the house of Piddig Mayor Eddie Guillen’s father-in-law before the ambush.
Paragoy was gunned down on his way home at about 4 a.m. His assassin also ran him over with his vehicle.
