Manila, Philippines - Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA) general manager Rodrigo Cabrera, together with two other officials of the agency, is facing a criminal complaint before the Office of the Ombudsman for allegedly extorting money from a fish pen owner.
Businessman Charlie Tan, accompanied by his lawyer, Al Argosino, filed the criminal complaint before the Ombudsman Thursday afternoon.
Engineer Donato Rivera, head of LLDA’s engineering division, and one Jacqueline Dabu were also named respondents.
Tan alleged that he was asked to shell out P300,000 so the LLDA would approve the transfer of his fish pen from Jala-Jala, Rizal to Laguna.
