LAGUNA, Philippines – Three sons of overseas worker Flor Contemplacion, who was executed on slay charges in Singapore in 1995, were sentenced to life imprisonment last week for drug pushing.
In a 14-page decision, San Pablo City Judge Agripino Morga convicted Sandrex Contemplacion, 37, and his twin brothers Jon-Jon and Joel, both 30, for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The Contemplacion brothers were also ordered to pay a P500,000 fine each.
Police records show that the three brothers were arrested by a joint team of the police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in a drug buy-bust in Barangay Sta. Isabela, San Pablo City six years ago.
Police said the three brothers sold illegal drugs after their mother was executed in Singapore on March 17, 1995. Their mother’s live-in partner Efren was also arrested in a drug buy-bust.
