LAGUNA, Philippines – Two suspected leaders of car theft gangs were arrested and 11 stolen vehicles were recovered from them in simultaneous police raids in Calamba City and Los Baños starting last weekend.
Chief Superintendent Samuel Pagdilao Jr., Calabarzon police director, said his men neutralized the syndicates with the arrest of Kirk Gioseff Quinto, 22, and Nilo Plaza, 23, both tagged in the string of car thefts in Laguna.
He said Quinto was arrested along the national highway in Barangay Batong Malake, Los Baños while in the act of stealing a Honda XRM motorcycle last Saturday. Plaza was nabbed in a follow-up raid in Calamba.
