MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Education (DepEd) is kicking off today its National Schools Maintenance Week or “Brigada Eskwela” where it enlists the help of communities to clean school grounds and repair fixtures and facilities in preparation for the school opening on June 15.
“We at the department aim to engage the community year-round to do more for public education,” said Education Secretary Mona Dumlao-Valisno.
