Surigao lawmaker's son makes waves in Siargao

SIARGAO, Surigao del Norte, Philippines – The bid for a congressional seat of the lawyer-son of the longest serving congressman of the first district of Surigao del Norte has begun “making waves” in this town.

Lawyer Constantino “Banjo” Navarro III (Nacionalista Party) has caught the imagination of young and old voters in this world-famous destination, especially when this young lawyer shared a vision that rekindled hope of the people of Siargao, political observers here said.

In his sorties, Navarro drew his vision of a prosperous Siargao as a tourism ecozone and an international shipbuilding center.

Navarro is the eldest grandson of political kingpin Constantino “Oguing” Navarro and eldest son of former congressman Constantino “Baby” Navarro Jr.

The young Navarro is a practicing lawyer and an independent Bible preacher.
