BATANGAS , Philippines – Five people, including three children, were wounded when a man went berserk and fired at their house in Laurel town this province Monday night, police said.
Senior Superintendent Alberto Supapo, Batangas police director, identified the victims as Lea Lubiano, 46; Violeta Lubiano, 54; Mark Andrew Lubiano, 12; Michael Lubiano, six; and Boni Carlo Lubiano, nine, all residents of Barangay Buso-Buso, Laurel town.
Reports said a certain Raffy Rodriguez, armed with a handgun, went to the Lubianos’ house and demanded Lea’s husband Leandro come out.
Apparently, Rodriguez and Lubiano had had a heated argument during a drinking bout.
When Lea replied that her husband was already sleeping, Rodriguez fired at their house several times, hitting the five victims. – Arnell Ozaeta
